Graphical Processor Units for dose calculations literally in

seconds

• Accuracy (and speed...) implemention dependent,

depending on the approximations used

• Pencil kernel algorithms frequently used instead of point

kernels, particularly in applications with optimizations, but

will give errors particularly for lung cases
