SPARTANS VOLLEYBALL COACHES

HEAD COACH LATOYA MOORE

Coach Latoya Moore graduated fromOglethorpe University

where she played as a libero, outside hitter, andmiddle hitter

in the course of her four years. Coach Moore is heading into

her 9th year of teaching, and 6th year of coaching. Coach

Moore has been a coach for the Spartans since 2012, in which

she was the JV coach for two years. This is the third year she

will be leading the Spartans as the Head Volleyball coach.

She enjoys working with the student athletes and being a

positive role model for all of her students. Coach Moore and

her husband, Ryan Moore, have beenmarried for five years.

We have a daughter named Ryla age 3, and another daughter

on the way in August.

JV HEAD COACH TONI FREEMAN

This is my 11th year of teaching and second year at SPHS. I am

married and have three wonderful children, Cameron (18 and a

2016 SPHS graduate), Dylan (13), Brittni (24), and one amazing

granddaughter, Analeigh (7 months). My parents, brother, and

children have always been an anchor inmy life. I was born and

raised in Paulding County. I have a degree in Political Science

from the University of Georgia (GO DAWGS!!!!). I earnedmy

teaching degree from the University of West Georgia. Addition-

ally, I have earnedmy masters and specialist degrees fromNova

Southeastern University.

ASSISTANT COACH MICHAEL SKELTON

Coach Michael “Mickey” Skelton joined the SPHS

family as a CTAE teacher in the school year of 2014-15

after retiring with 28 years of service in Public Safety.

He graduated fromMercer University (1997) majoring

in Business Administration while minoring in Criminal

Justice. Coach Skelton also graduated from the New

Teacher Institute (2015) at Valdosta State College. He

enjoys working with the student athletes both in the

classroom as well as on the court. Coach Skelton has

worked in the past with Paulding County Schools serv-

ing as a Community Coach for Basketball and Softball.

Since joining the Spartan family, he has been assistant

coach with the boys tennis team (2 years) and in addi-

tion now is happy to serve as the assistant volleyball

coach this year. Coach Skelton and Tammy, his wife,

have beenmarried for 34 years. They have four chil-

dren and currently 6 grandchildren.

ASSISTANT COACH DESTINY BRYAN

Coach Destiny Bryan graduated from South Paulding

High School in 2012. Coach Bryan played volleyball

for a total of nine years. She began playing volleyball

in Tennessee in the fourth grade and continued all

the way until she graduated high school. She played

as the libero and setter during that time. This is

Coach Bryan’s first year coaching at South Paulding

High School. She is currently a senior at the Universi-

ty of West Georgia finishing her Bachelors of Science

in Mathematics with concentration on Secondary

Education.

Coach Toni Freeman:
