Park Update

Highlighting Rainbow Parks

Turkey Creek

By Travis Carr #8, Rainbow Parks, Vice President

Located in the quaint town of Hol lister, Turkey Creek

Rainbow Park is only a hop, skip and a jump away from

the famous smal l-town shows, attractions and much

more of the Branson, Missouri, area.

N

estled in the heart of the Ozark Mountains, Turkey

Creek is both a beautiful and peaceful park with water

access to Lake Taneycomo. It is one of those places that

have something for everyone, making it a perfect location

to vacation, or to get some rest-and-relaxation time along

your way.

Branson is known worldwide for its ample offerings of

family entertainment and wide variety of shows, ranging

from swinging acrobats to magicians. You’ll also find

every kind of music, from opera to rock and roll. Whether

you are looking for concerts, museums or outlet shopping

malls, your days will be filled with fun and excitement.

And, even though Branson has so much going on, the town

has managed to keep that wonderful small-town charm that

we all love.

Don’t miss the

free

spectacular $7.5 million water

fountain show, synchronized to light, sound, music and fire

at the Branson Landing, located only one mile from the

park. Enjoy dinner with a beautiful view of the water and

a unique shopping atmosphere. You can even catch a land

and water adventure with “Ride the Ducks,” which has

been a favorite of mine since I was a child.

For the more adventurous or young-hearted, the area is

brimming with amusement centers that include miniature

golf courses, extravagant multi-story go-cart racing tracks,

to all-out theme parks like Silver Dollar City, that even has

its own natural cavern.

Hollister is the only town that touches all three major

lakes in the region. So, if you are tired of shows, or amuse-

ment parks are not your cup of tea, grab a Missouri fishing

license and test your skills, or just take a stroll along the

beautiful banks. And be sure to save a day to drive to Dog-

wood Canyon Nature Park for hiking, or to ride the tram

and enjoy the gorgeous history-laden landscape.

The Branson area offers an abundance of attractions to

meet nearly everyone’s interests, and Turkey Creek RV Vil-

lage provides the perfect hub for your explorations. With

rates among the lowest in the area, 30- and 50-amp sites

and pull-through sites, the park can accommodate your

needs—so what are you waiting for? Oh, and don’t forget

to ask for discounted tickets and coupons at the office.

You can find more information about the park at

48 for rates and park accommodations.
