andoneofthemost excitingpost-spawnbitesinthecountry,

Kentuckyisalsopackedwithshalowcover: floodedbushes,

varioustypesofbankgras, hydrila, laydownsfordays, leg-

endarystumpfields,riprap,cypres tresandknes,and

more.Theseshorelinetargets,plussmalcreksandcuts

andvastspawningflats, arefilingupwithbas.

Theforagebaseincludesgizardandthreadfinshad,blue-

gils,crawfishandothersmalergamefish.Waterclarity

variesbyareafromlesthanafoot toseveral fet ofvisibility,

thoughmostofthereservoirhasthat“Tennese River

gren”that’sjust dirtyenoughtocrankandjust clearenough

tothrowaswimbait.
