, Daubigny visited Villerville with his family and began painting
the park Les Graves. He returned frequently, painting repeated and
varied views from this park by the sea, two of which were exhibited in
the Salons of
1859
and
1870
. There are at least
14
paintings and one
etching (Delteil

) with this subject. Our drawing seems to be closest
in composition to
Les Graves de Villerville
,
1875
in the L’Hermitage,
