The OD manual update needs to remove the comment of "drivers having authorization from
insurance carrier prior to operation". This is not in the OD's control therefore it should be
removed from the manual. This will be removed from the manual at the next update.
Don Reiss wanted to remind everyone that there is to be no alcohol on the Fins.
Frank Corcoran stated that the balance in 5/3 Bank is higher than usual due to the fact that if
we keep a higher balance in that bank, we can avoid services charges on that account.
Frank stated that it is important that everyone know that we
do not
accept American Express
credit cards. The POS system will allow these transactions to go through, however, we are
paying a large amount in service charges for using American Express cards. Ian was looking into
if we can get American Express blocked on our POS, but he found out that we cannot block it.
Kim suggested that only NCYC sanctioned outings and events be mentioned in the Beacon.
Member of the Month:
VC Chuck Stroh nominated Shelby Romatz for the Member of the
Month. VC Chuck will write the article.
