Compact vortex flow meter with local display

new models of their LIQUI-VIEW Base se-
ries. Following consultation with custom-
ers, these models are now equipped with a
bright, wide-angle and easy-to-read display
for local readout purposes. As the working
principle of the instrument allows it to be
mounted in any position, the structural de-
sign of the display makes it possible to ro-
tate it through180 degrees. Besides a local
readout, these models also offer 4-20 mA
output signals.
The LIQUI-VIEW Base series operates
on the vortex principle. The obstruction
(bluff body) placed in the flow of the liquid
sheds vortices downstream at a frequency
proportional to the velocity of the liquid. A
piezoelectric sensor detects the vortices
and creates electrical pulses which are pro-
portional to the liquid flow rate. The instru-
ments can be mounted in any position and
can be supplied in full scale ranges from 10
l/min up to 150 l/min at max. 12 bar pres-
sure rating.
LIQUI-VIEW Base instruments offer a
cost-effective solution for monitoring the
flow or consumption of cleaning water,
cooling water or spa water. Thanks to its
IP65 protection rating and the compact
and lightweight sensor body, these flow

TNS and TNF series for direct measurement of analogue tempera-
ture in industrial processes. The heat dependent pressure is trans-
ferred mechanically at one end of a nitrogen filled pressure line
to a pointer element. A stainless steel immersion shaft protrudes
into the medium at the other end. For applications with strong
vibrations, the gauge measuring system may be dampened with
glycerine or oil.
The TNS is a stem thermometer according to DIN 16205.
The TNF series comprises of capillary thermometers accord-
ing to DIN 16206. Up to 100 m capillary between probe and
housing enables a remote and reliable temperature monitor-
ing.
A variety of typical industrial connections and options
allow mounting the instrument exactly as per specified re-
quirement. The 16 standard measuring ranges range from
-40°C to 600°C. Special measuring ranges are also available.
The protection degree is IP65. Designs with one or two
contacts enable a reliable monitoring of limit values. Slow-ac-
tion contacts, magnetic spring contacts or inductive con-
tacts are available to choose from. Instruments with induc-
tive contacts together with an external switching amplifier
are suitable for use in hazardous areas. Areas of application
in the following industries: chemical, food, mechanical engi-
neering and heavy goods, piping and vessel construction and
process engineering.
