You are the silent presence
On the way –
On every way,
Every road, every path,
Every passage,
Your presence is the sign
Of the Universe –
Thus you appear,
Thus you stand,
Childlike and ancient,
Playful and austere,
Awesome and intimate,
Now a promise and now
A warning,
But always, for the hearts
That are clean,
A Friend
And a Brother,
The calm assent
Of All That Is
To the needed
Processes –
On every way opened
