Densely Dark and White and Gold,
Buoyed by the Richness of the Flame,
You stand at the Threshold,
Yourself a Welcome and a Passage,
And you let the fruits of the inner work
Be weighed and distilled
In your lap,
And, thus absorbed,
You seem to block the way,
Till the waiting has melted
Into the Fire
And all clamor of eagerness
Has become
The calm and steady will
To serve and progress –
And then the doors are open
And you have become
Light...
