Today Sri Ganesh you seem
To ride out in full view
On your great chariot loaded
With gifts from Her Treasure,
Seated erect and watchful,
Your stole dancing in the wind
With a trail of white stars,
Your arms holding out
Sun-filled jewels,
Honeyed gold and crimson and violet –
And your very countenance
Is itself a sharing
Of the blessings and protection
