Regal and profound you appear
In the heart of the forest
And your stance is that
Of the Incorruptible –
You wear a robe of foliage
Spangled with stars of white light
And your chest is glowing
With the Shakti’s loving fire –
Thus you travel
Half-way to Matter,
An ausp0icious provider,
Knower of Her
Infinite treasures –
From there you may extend
Your blessings with your trunk
And clear the way for those
Whose motives are true...

Sri Ganesh, you appear festive
Today,
A dancer and a clown and a king
All in one,
But even as you jest
And cavort and play
Tender minstrelsies
And, with generous humor,
Mime the riddles
Of existence,
There is always the dignity
That true knowledge
Confers –
When you dance
Your knowledge, it spans and embraces
The entire creation –
And therefore
One turns to you
To clear the way
Constantly...
