You are massive
And yet nimble,
Threatening
And yet tender,
Unseizeable
And yet safe –
In you dwells the secret
Knowledge
Of opposites and contraries
And in you
Is the ferment
For their unity –
It is in humans
That the work must be done,
So that Matter
May house the Supreme’s
Multitude –
O beautiful Ganesh,
Advancing
On a tide
Of light and fire,
Dark and bright, bright and dark,
Son of the Shakti,
Incorruptible
And
First.
