The true stars of the fashion industry are the

designers and this is where the opportunity

opens up for the region.

In a report commissioned by the British Fashion Council, it indicated that in

2010 the value of the British fashion industry was £21 billion a year to the UK

economy and it’s the 15th largest industry (out of 81) in the UK. India on the

other hand, considered one of the world’s largest producers of textiles and

apparel, generated $63 billion in 2010 from their fashion industry.
