The company achieved
increases in net sales
and gross profit for both the
quarter and year-to-date
periods compared to the
same periods in fiscal 2010.
Consolidated net sales for
the quarter increased 12.6%
to $17.2 million compared
to $15.3 million for
the comparable period last
year. Net sales to customers
located in the United States
increased 14.6% compared
to the same period last year,
and net sales to customers
located outside of the United
States increased 6.2%.
Neil Wilkin, president
and chief executive officer
of OCC, said: “During
the first half of fiscal 2011
we significantly improved our
performance over the first
half of 2010 as demand for
our...products drove
sales growth in the US and
internationally. At the same
time we grew net sales
15.3%, we also controlled our
costs during the first half of
2011 – with SG&A expenses
dropping 1.5%. As we move
forward into the second half
of the year we intend to build
on our positive momentum.”
