The idea to operate the
tournament came from Aldwyn
McGill who used the knowledge
he gained from running the
Canadian International Soccer
League
(CISL)
Indoor
competition at Humber College.
Caribbean Stars first Annual Indoor
tournament was held on May 4th
and 5th, 1996, at the Mount Joy
Arena in Markham where GS United
won and established themselves as
the team to beat for future
tournaments in both the Men’s Open
and Over 35 Divisions.
The CISL league had gained
an edge over other soccer
organizations which did not
have an indoor league and the
Caribbean community was the
beneficiary with the Caribbean
Stars Indoor Tournament .
