NOTES FROM CHAPLAIN ART BROOKS
In a few days, if not already, the club will be open. This signals the
beginning of Summer and a time to rekindle many friendships that have
been on hold since last October. Also, this is the beginning of the boating
season. With the many rendezvous and individual boating trips scheduled,
it is important that we cruise in a safe manner.
Longtime member, Bill Cross, died on May 7, 2017. He is survived by his
wife, Lorrie, two daughters, five grandchildren and one brother. Memorials
are welcome to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children
Research Hospital
He will be missed by his family and friends for years to come.
Kathleen Penzien’s father passed away early the morning of May 11th. In
reading the note received from Kathleen, her Dad was a great father,
grandpa, great grandfather. He helped those around him with a generous,
kind, and willing heart. This family’s superhero will never be forgotten.
Please remember these families with your prayers, cards or personal
contact as they observe Father’s Day without their beloved family member.
