Not only does he participate locally in educational opportunities, he has become very active at the state
level. He is a champion for career technical education and realizes the value in presenting as many
opportunities to students as possible. It is without hesitation that I nominate Charles A. Speelman for a
“2014 AASA Superintendent of the Year Award”. He is taking our Career Center down a path to
becoming one of the best Career Centers in Ohio and is constantly challenging himself, his staff, the
Board of Education, and everyone associated with Tri-Rivers to become even better.
