Solar Energy
Questech Students install solar panels on
a roof system using industry-grade materials.
They'll work with a solar panel mounting sys-
tem, solar panel roof anchors, electrical wire,
storage batteries, power inverter and solar
charge controller, then tie all elements to a res-
idential electrical service panel.

Wind Energy
Questech Students design, build and install
a windmill power turbine generator. Activities
include connecting it to a power inverter, and
wiring the inverter to an electrical service panel.
They'll compare wind power cost to a typical
residential utilities cost.

Weatherization
Questech Students perform Energy Audit test-
ing procedures (blower test to check for air leaks

efficiency). They'll learn techniques and prob-
lem-solving methods for insulating and sealing a
structure for improved weather tightness.
