Conceived in 1947 and founded in 1948 by 13 countries, the IIW is today the
largest world wide network for welding and joining technologies.
57 Member Countries, representing experts in the various fields of welding and
joining.
23 Technical Commissions and Working Units.
45 Authorised National Bodies (ANBs), which have awarded over than 110,000
Diplomas since 1998 and 10,994 Diplomas in 2014.
27 Authorised National Bodies for Companies Certification (ANBCCs), which have
certified almost 1,500 companies around the world up to the end of 2014. A total
of 420 personnel certificates has been delivered in 2014.
