cable manufacturers, and they were

looking for new ways to improve product

quality, increase productivity, and reduce

manufacturing costs. These organizations

were particularly interested in learning more

about our new ultra-fast AccuScan 5000

Series diameter gauges, LayScan lay length

measurement system, and DCM SCS-700

and ES-2G cable testing systems, as well as

our other measurement solutions.

“Our new dual-axis AccuScan 5000 Series

gauges perform high-speed diameter and

ovality measurements at 2400 scans per

second per axis and provide the highest

single-scan accuracy in the industry,”

addedMr Snaith. “The AccuScan 5000 Series

effectively monitors unique shapes and

profiles for faster process control, catches

flaws faster with the High-Speed Tolerance

checking option, and easily connects to

PC, PLC, or other processes with leading

protocols.”

“Overall, this show provided us with an

excellent opportunity to meet with existing

and new potential customers and increase

business. Beta LaserMike is looking forward

to the next wire show.”

And Woody Holland, sales manager for

Clinton Instrument Company, added: “This

year our new products focused primarily

on automated calibration equipment for

spark test systems that will enable customers

to meet EN standards for both voltage and

sensitivity. Having this new equipment for

the world market generated a lot of interest

and we were pleasantly surprised with a

consistent flow of customers beginning early

in the morning on Monday and continuing

through Tuesday afternoon.

“The busy flow of Monday and Tuesday

returned to us on Thursday with many

promising

leads

and

constructive

conversations. As many customers made

their way back home, Friday was a good

time to visit with friends and OEM customers

in the booth.

“Wire is certainly the biggest and best

show we attend and the show in 2014 did

not disappoint. The quality of conversation

and busy atmosphere was a significant

improvement in the activity we had seen in

both wire 2012 and 2010. It is encouraging

to see levels of activity and interest returning

to levels prior to the world market decline in

2008.

“Based on what I’ve heard, other exhibitors

were very pleased with the people who

attended and optimistic about 2014 and

beyond. We look forward to future years at

wire and now is the time to turn our efforts

from 2014 into more business.”

Plans are already well underway for wire

2016 which takes place again in Düsseldorf

from 4

th

to 8

th

April 2016.
