Announcement of an MDM

Any specialty can bring cases for discussion at the MDM

, in particular those cases

which are diagnosed outside the ‘normal pathway’

It is helpful if a

coordinator

is appointed to collect the cases together, write and

disseminate the agenda before the meeting

so that all participants know beforehand which

patients will be discussed, allowing for notes to be organized and reviewed

How should cases be presented?

All relevant patient information should be presented in the most efficient and concise way

Presentations can be

verbal

but

should be backed up by projection

•

MDM is time consuming

: thus the

presentations

would become

standardized.
