Golf Tourney
The Mississippi Jr. College Golf
Tournament was held at Hinds Jr.
College April 28 and 29.
Hinds was the over-aU winner with
a 616, followed by Southwest with a
626, Gulf Coast-630, East Central-
647, Pearl River-668 and Co-Lin-777.
Joel Nelson of Newton fired a
77-79 for a total of 156 during the
two-day tourney . James Wood of
Louisville fired a 79 in both rounds
for a total of 158. Tony Dobbs of
Forest fired an 80-87 for a 167 total.
Jay Jones of Forest fired a 81-89 for a
170 total and Robert James of
Newton fired an 89-85 for a 174 total.
Joe Clark is golf coach for East
Central.
