ARE AT THE CUTTING EDGE
URSC Chairman Jonathan Bill commented;
“We are delighted to be able to provide
such high-tech tangible support for Ulster’s
players and management. Our members
want, and indeed expect, the very best from
the Ulster team and management and we
think that ensuring that they have the very
best equipment will go some way to helping
them achieve...what we as supporters want
more than anything else...success on the
field.”
Ulster Rugby Head Coach Neil Doak
said: “The URSC funding is absolutely
outstanding, extremely generous and
very much appreciated. At Ulster Rugby
we are determined to be the best both on
and off the pitch and investing in the best
equipment will help us to keep ahead of our
rivals.”
Ulster Rugby is currently upgrading
certain aspects of its performance
analysis department with new cameras
and computers to aid individual and team
analysis for both the senior squad and the
Ulster Rugby Hughes Insurance Academy.
Earlier in the season the URSC issued
two Jack Kyle Bursary awards worth
£2,500 each to young Ulster forwards Alan
O’Connor and Adam McBurney, meaning
that in 2014/15 season the URSC has been
able to contribute a total of £12,500 to Ulster
Rugby.
The Ulster Rugby Supporters Club was
established in 2004 and is the official
supporters club of Ulster Rugby. It is run by
supporters, for supporters and currently has
almost 1350 members.
It offers bus travel to Ulster matches in
Ireland; arranges regular Meet the Players
and other fan events; arranges events
for Ulster supporters at European away
matches; sponsors the prestigious annual
URSC Player of the Year award; and acts
as a conduit between the fans and Ulster
Rugby.
The URSC Jack Kyle Bursary was
inaugurated in 2007 and is awarded on an
annual basis to an up and coming member
of the Ulster Rugby Academy.
The Award worth £2,500 is sponsored
by the URSC, using monies raised by its
annual Big Ballot, many prizes for which are
generously donated by local businesses.
Tonight, the Ulster Rugby Supporters Club is delighted to be
presenting a cheque for £7,500 to Ulster Rugby. The money will
go towards new updated computer equipment to be used by
management and players alike.
