Mr. Barry M. O'Meara, 18 South Mall,
Cork, has been elected President of

Association for 1937-38.
OBITUARY.
MR.
JAMES TANHAM, Solicitor, died on
the 1st December, 1937, at Dublin.
Mr. Tanham served his apprenticeship
with the late Mr. John J. McDonald, Dublin,
was admitted
in Hilary Sittings,
1925,
and practised at 13 Westmoreland Street,
Dublin.
MR.
FREDERICK
L.
BLAKE,
Solicitor,
died on the 10th December, 1937, at his
residence, " Llanara," Blackrock, Cork.
Mr. Blake served his apprenticeship with
his father, the late Mr. J. C. Blake, Cork,
was admitted in Hilary Sittings, 1901, and
practised at 27 Marlborough Street, Cork.
He was an Extra-ordinary Member of
the Council of this Society during the year
1929-30.
MR. PHILIP J. McOuAiD, Solicitor, died
on the 28th December, 1937, at his residence,
Clare Castle, Co. Clare.
Mr. McQuaid served his apprenticeship
with the late Mr. John F. Small, Solicitor,
Newry, was admitted in Hilary Sittings, 1913,
and practised at Newry and Dundalk up
to 1925, when he was appointed Under
Sheriff
for County Clare, which position
he held up to the date of his death.
