I closed my eyes for a moment and now I see
a man standing where a boy used to be. The last
18 years have flown by and you have made me
proud to be your mother every second. Life has
handed you some hard times at a young age and
you have overcome it all with your strength and
faith. I admire the kind person that you are, your
smile melts my heart and your laugh
is contagious. You are confident in
who you are and I pray you never
change that.
Most of your childhood was spent on the baseball
field and it has been an honor being your #1 fan and
watching you develop into the phenomenal player you
are today. I never imagined that I would be saddened
at the thought of scrubbing your baseball pants for the
last time ;-)
As much as I wish you could stay my baby forever, as you enter
the next chapter of your life, I am excited to see the amazing things
you will do in this life.
