were of
the
oligodendroglioma
histologic class
and were associated with
favorable
outcomes
.
Tumors with
wild-type IDH
were
molecularly and clinically distinct from
subtypes with mutated IDH
, with most
showing a striking resemblance to
primary
glioblastoma
on all analytic platforms
It may transpire that
distinct therapeutic
strategies
are required for effective disease
control in molecular subtypes of lower-grade
glioma.
