Adult > 15 years old
Hemorrhagic shock from multisystem
trauma
Trauma less than 1 hour old
Sustained tachycardia >110bpm
Minimum of 15 minute transport
No known hypersensitivity to TXA
Pain Management Protocol
Adult IV/IO
Tranexamic Acid (TXA)
1 gram mixed in 50mL IV bag connected to
10gtts/mL administration set, and
administered over 10 minutes
(1 drop per second)
