With 46 days until the first Elite Brigade and 87 days to opening weekend it is time
to get going on your boat projects. Be it, replacing carpets, refreshing the cushions,
upgrading electronics or just routine maintenance, the time is fast approaching to
get our vessels wet.
Along with readying our vessels, we need to prepare our Island treasure for yet
another great season. There is no shortage of projects to get involved with; we
need to reinstall the bar with the new granite top, punch in the new access and
walkway to the walk-in cooler, not to mention the numerous seasonal tasks and the
First Mates annual project. I am always amazed at how much work takes place to
ready the club and it would not be possible without your involvement.
Don’t forget to visit the events calendar on the NCYC website. It is shaping up
nicely and is a great reference when planning your summer activities. Also, make
your reservations for the Algonac and MacRay rendezvous, I am sure P/C Tom and
Judy McHugh have action packed and fun weekends planned. Your participation is
what makes this club the best on the water!
If you are planning to encourage friends or family to join our wonderful club, the
time is now! It is always nice to see our Board busy interviewing and approving
potential new members so they can be introduced during the Memorial Day
General Membership meeting.
Can’t wait to see everyone on the Island!
