Barbara Pogačnik
Barbara Pogačnik (born 1973) is a
Slovenian poet, translator and
literary critic, with a degree in
Romance linguistics and literature
from Université Catholique de
Louvain in Belgium and an MA
from the Sorbonne in Paris. Her
poetry in translation has appeared
in 23 languages. She is a frequent
performer at international literary
events, and has been writer-in-residence in Poland, Great
Britain, Albania, and Austria. She is on the editorial board
of the literary magazine

, and taught at the
Department of Translation Studies at the University of
Ljubljana.
