As the saying goes…”It takes a village to raise a child.”--
and the 2015 Fashion Splash was our baby!
The First Mates annual spring fashion show is our most important fund
raiser. We raise funds for enhancements and the beautification of our
island.
Planning an event such as this, takes lots of commitment, thought and
time.
I would like to take this opportunity to show appreciation and give
heartfelt thanks to our own “Sweet E”- Erin McGregor for her creativity,
imagination and the mega hours that she put into making this show so
successful!
It was a wonderful day and everyone had a super fun time!
I would also like to express gratitude to Cathy Criner for taking
reservations and table arrangements. Anne Malik for recruiting and
organizing the models. Debbie Lockhart my “go to” Master of
Ceremonies (she makes it look so easy!). Kim Miedema our photographer
who always makes us look good and happy! Jill Romatz for shlepping the
Boatique across town! Our sound and music engineer- Brian Malik.
Rae Ann Whyard for her blessing,
Keith McGregor, Dave Lockhart, and Bob Carnaghi who gave up working
at the club that day to sell raffle tickets!
I would also like to acknowledge and thank our beautiful models for the
time and effort they put forth. And putting “fashion” into the fashion
show!
