The Home Study Course is available in electronic or print format. The activity includes a review of

outcomes objectives, selected scientific literature, and a online self-assessment examination.

Method of Physician Participation in the Learning Process

The physician learner will read the selected scientific literature, reflect on what they have

read, and complete the online self-assessment exam. After completing this section,

participants should have a greater understanding of otology and neurotology, as well as

useful information for clinical application.

“Conflict of interest” is defined as any real or potential situation that has competing professional or personal interests that would make it

difficult to be unbiased. Conflicts of interest occur when an individual has an opportunity to affect education content about products or services

of a commercial interest with which they have a financial relationship.

A conflict of interest depends on the situation and not on the character

of the individual.
