Cooperation between Dhatec and Vacuworx
Dhatec Line Pipe Logistic Solutions
and Vacuworx International have
started cooperating in the European
market. Contracts were signed by
Dhatec CEO Idsart van Assema and
Vacuworx CEO Bill Solomon during
the Washington DC IPLOCA annual
convention.
Since last summer Dhatec has
become a Vacuworx official partner.
The companies started collaborating to
provide service to clients with solutions
for handling of pipes. Vacuum lifting
systems are an addition to Dhatec’s
product range for safe and efficient
delivery of pipes.
The Pipe Lifter Systems produced by
the in-field vacuum lifting specialist
safely and effectively handle heavy
sections of pipes.
The equipment can move stock off the
truck and into the trench in seconds.
As both parties value safety for
personnel, material and equipment,
risk management is part of their daily
work. Dhatec employees have been
trained to provide advice for purchase
and rental of Vacuworx equipment, and
also for providing service in the field.
Vacuum lifters and spare parts can
be directly supplied from stock from
Dhatec’s head office in the Netherlands.

Software for
pipe stress
analysis
Intergraph has released Caesar II
Nuclear, a new version of the software
for pipe stress analysis that has
been through a Commercial Grade
Dedication (CGD) process. The software
now complies with American Society
of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
NQA-1 2008/09 quality assurance (QA)
standards required for nuclear facility
design as endorsed by the Nuclear
Regulatory Commission (NRC) for
use in reactors, material, waste and
security.
ASME NQA-1 is recognised as a rigorous
safety standard for nuclear applications,
focused on preventing defects before
release. The new Caesar II Nuclear
software has additional features that
allow for its direct adoption in the
nuclear sector for new facilities.
