OBITUARY

MR. WILLIAM DWYER, Solicitor, died at his residence,

Loughnabatta, Roscrea on 6th September, 1947.

Mr. Dwyer was admitted in Trinity Sittings, 1901,

and practised in Roscrea.

Mr. O'Flaherty served his apprenticeship to Mr.

Laurence Kirwan,

\. ,;xford, was

admitted

in

Michaelmas Sittings, 1933, and practised at Ennis-

corthy.

MR. PATRICK DONNELLY, Solicitor, died at his

residence, Windsor Hill, Newry.

Mr. Donnelly served his apprenticeship to the

late Mr. Edmund W. White, Belfast, was admitted

in Hilary Sittings, 1905, and practised at Newry.

MR. J. P. LONAN MURPHY, Solicitor, died at Tarbes

Hospital, near Lourdes, on 24th September, 1947.

Mr. Murphy served his apprenticeship to Mr. J-

Baldwin Murphy, Clones, was admitted in Michael

mas Sittings, 1928, and practised as a partner in the

firm of McCann and Murphy at 32 Nassau Street,

Dublin.

MR. ALOYSIUS D. O'RIORDAN, Solicitor, died at

Portobello Nursing Home, Dublin, on 29th October,

1947.

Mr. O'Riordan served his apprenticeship with

the late Mr. Joseph Brogan, Dublin, was admitted

in Michaelmas Sittings, 1935, and practised under

the style of Taylor, Son and Robinson, at 34 Lr.

Abbey Street, Dublin.

MR. RICHARD L. O'FLAHERTY, Solicitor, died at

his

residence, Mayfield, Enniscorthy,

on

i6th

October, 1947.

MR. WILLIAM M. REID, Solicitor, died at his

residence, Church Street, Cavan, on 3rd November,

1947.

Mr. Reid served his apprenticeship with the late

Mr. John G. Reid, Castleblayney, was admitted

in Michaelmas Sittings, 1899, and practised in Cavan.

The Solicitors' Benevolent Association

The Association which operates

throughout the whole of Ireland, cares for Solicitors, their

wives, widows and families who have fallen on hard times.

Last year over £1,300 was distributed

in

relief.

Additional subscriptions, donations and

bequests are urgently needed to continue and extend the Association's work.

The active co-operation of the Profession in the Association's good work is asked for and all

who are not members are urged to join without delay.
