When updating an
Information
or
Amended Information

<Prosecutor
Action>
must be updated accordingly for every charge that appears on the
document. If a charge does not appear on the document, update that omitted charge
with the
<Prosecutor Action>
Prosecutor Took No Action

searching for does not appear in the table, contact your supervisor. If the case is
being plead out, update the case on a regular CEF The case must be updated in ICP
after court. From the ICP screen, follow the procedures below to update charges.
Lesser Charge
A.
Select all applicable charges.
B.
Click the
<Lesser Charge>
button if the court agrees to a lesser plea.
C.
Search for the new charge by statute number or description. If unsure,
confirm this information with the court.
D.
Double-click the new statute or highlight and click
<OK>.
E.
Update the case as needed.
Amended Charge
A.
Select all applicable charges.
B.
Click the
<Amended Charge>
button if the Prosecutor is submitting an
Amended Information for the case.
C.
Search for the new charge by statute number or description. If the original
charge is a TCATS charge, search the appropriate amended TCATS charge.
D.
Double-click the new statute or highlight and click
<OK>.
E.
Update the case as needed. This includes the prosecutor action.
Reset Charge
A.
Click the
<Reset Charge>
button to reset any changes made on the selected
charge and return it to the original statute. This action can only be completed
within the current ICP session. This action is not to be used after the charge
has been disposed.
B.
Update the case as needed.
Add Charge
A.
Click the
<Add Charge>
button if the Court or Prosecutor is adding
additional charges and/or submitting a new citation.
B.
Click
<Yes>
if the charge is being added in the Prosecutor Phase. Click
<No>
if the charge is being added in the Court Phase.
