ATP is critical to health and a healthy lifestyle.

Ribose is an essential component of making

ATP in the body.

What is the function of ATP in the cell?

Our bodies produce ribose from glucose and use it uniquely

for the revitalization of the molecule ATP (Adenosine

Triphosphate), the chemical form of energy. Unlike glucose,

it does not have an impact on blood sugar levels. Unfortu-

nately, due to our diet, the body can not store enough ribose

to maintain the optimal levels of ATP required to prevent

deterioration of our cells and tissues.

Stress also affects the depletion of ribose - more stress leads

to decreased amounts of ribose when the body can not

make the nutrient fast enough. This could also occur after

strenuous exercise - the muscles become fatigued which

could result in a significant loss of ATP. Taking D-Ribose may

help replenish depressed levels of ATP, and improve work-

out recovery. *

D-Ribose is a naturally occurring pentose (5-Carbon) sugar,

which is a primary building block in the production of

Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) - the body’s main energy

source.

Healthy Origins® D-Ribose uses exclusively BioEnergy™

Ribose for our raw material source.
