This mail-in biological monitoring system
involves the use of bacterial spore test strips
for measuring the effectiveness of steam, dry
heat, chemical vapor and ethylene oxide gas
sterilization processes – the CDC guidelines
recommend weekly monitoring of all practice
autoclaves! These test strips also provide an
effective way to biologically monitor both
mechanical function and operator technique
