AVL Systems innovative product offerings provide elegant visual styling along with performance solutions
for the control of acoustics and sound. These products are designed and manufactured using environmen-
tally friendly materials and practices to help create healthier environments that promote comfort, calmness
and well-being for any designed space. AVL Systems products and technologies are aligned with the high-
est social consciousness and environmental standards for green, earth friendly, sustainable practices.
As a Member of the U.S. Green Building Council, AVL Systems is an active participant in the leadership
and support of LEED initiatives. Through this affiliation, AVL continues a 30 year commitment to our em-
ployees, design clients, customers, friends, community and planet for a sustainable and environmentally
friendly workplace, "green" products, and public environmental stewardship.
AVL Systems has advanced its manufacturing processes for 30 years, educated our employees and man-
aged our workplace to support our corporate mission of REDUCE – RE-USE – RECYLE.
These corporate Initiatives have resulted in ecological-friendly, sustainable manufacturing processes and
products for our design clients, customers, and healthy workplace for our employees.
From material procurement through production, our mission is to minimize and reduce the use of all materi-
als used in the manufacture of our products. Production scrap materials are collected and re-used to manu-
facture secondary products thereby eliminating waste by-products of substrates and fabrics. Chemical use
is non-solvent based, and reduce emissions in our processes.
AVL Systems manufacturing facility utilizes a design that permits natural lighting for 90% of production time
thereby greatly reducing energy use. Management systems monitor and administer regular equipment duty
cycles to maximize energy usage of our machinery and factory systems.
In addition, to support reduction of waste in the field, AVL Systems products are custom manufactured to
size, eliminating field-cut waste on the worksite.
AVL Systems, Inc. offers products with pre and post-consumer recycled materials that average higher than
most competitors. These recycled materials include fabrics and facings, various core materials with Green-
Guard certification, woods, metals and packaging. For all phases of manufacturing and business process,
AVL procures materials that are environmentally responsible, resource efficient and sustainable. Further-
more, we procure materials from local suppliers whenever possible to reduce transportation emissions and
energy use.
As a leader in the design and manufacture of Acoustical Systems and Products, AVL Systems is proud to
lead our industry in utilizing environmentally friendly materials and processes. These demonstrated initia-
tives reflect our commitment to our principles of developing an environment friendly workplace and prod-
ucts for sustainable living and green initiatives desired and mandated by our clients.
Additional benefits to clients of AVL Systems include the opportunity to qualify for and earn credits in US
GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL'S Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) initiatives with
contributions to the Commercial Interiors Rating System programs.
