SPOTLIGHT ON PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT
There are many ways of accessing
professional support, and one
way can be through your existing
professional networks. Speech
Pathology Australia has recently
developed an information sheet
on professional networks, which
outlines what a professional network
is, and how to develop professional
support through these networks.
This information can be found on
the Association’s website under the
General Professional Resources
section plus on the Early Career
page under the section Accessing
Professional Development.
While Speech Pathology Australia
provides a means for finding a
supervisor for external supervision
via the Supervision Register and
for finding a mentor via the Find a
Mentor search, members are also
encouraged to source supervision,
mentoring, and peer support through
their existing professional networks.
