DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
Diagnostic Pathology: Familial Cancer Syndromes features a
comprehensive review of the top 56 inherited tumor syndromes
associated with neoplasms, which every surgical pathologists diagnoses
in their daily sign-out practice. With over 175 chapters and written
by well-known experts in the field, this book seeks to help surgical
pathologists, clinicians, fellows, and residents understand the critical
differences in diagnosing familial tumors and differentiating these from
the sporadic counterpart. Besides the well-described pathology of these
syndromes, the clinical implications on diagnosing these syndromes are
also presented in detail. This book will guide pathologists and clinicians
to master diagnostic criteria when diagnosing tumors associated with
inherited tumor syndromes.
Diagnostic Pathology: Cytopathology is written in the easy-to-access
format popularized by the Amirsys surgical pathology, histology,
and radiology textbooks. It is written with the busy cytopathology
professional in mind. The “key facts” provide quick criteria needed for
diagnosis or adequacy evaluation at the time of procedure, whereas the
rest of the chapter is written in a consistent, succinct, synoptic format,
which is an easy read and full of information.
The book covers all aspects of cytology, from gynecologic to
exfoliative and fine-needle aspiration, including neuropathology
squash preparations, ophthalmic cytopathology, quality improvement,
instrumentation, immunohistochemistry, and molecular testing as they
apply to cytology, cell blocks, and miniscule biopsy specimens.
As with all of the books within the Diagnostic Pathology, in-house
series, this book comes with an eBook to further enhance your
experience.
