Figure 12 below illustrates the number of open Level 2 findings per installation since the scheme started in 2008 to
the end of 2013. Although overall improvement can be seen in the period, there is an, as yet, unexplained upward
trend in the second half of 2013. This will be investigated further with specialist personnel. Even allowing for that
trend, however, the specialists who provide the data and manage assurance and verification within duty holder
companies believe that the numbers give no real cause for concern.
