Michael O’Neill’s troops held their nerve
to not only make it to France but top
their qualifying group.
And when the pressure was on to
get results against Faroe Islands and
Hungary two years ago they produced
the goods and went on to write their
name in the history books.

scenario is slightly different with
Germany almost certainly topping the
group with Northern Ireland fighting
it out for a play-off place, if anything
the performances in the World Cup
qualifying campaign have been even

Kyle Lafferty believes the experience of qualifying for Euro 2016
will stand Northern Ireland in good stead in the coming months.
