The equipment used for core exercises ranges from the simple and inex-
pensive to the complicated and very expensive. If your goal is to get a
stronger core, but you don’t want to invest in a lot of equipment, you’ll
have a lot of choices.
Many core workouts simply involve a floor mat. If you’re planning on
doing exercises like crunches, planks, or practicing Pilates or yoga, you
should think about getting a floor mat. Doing these sorts of exercises di-
