Business development appointment
at Cofim Industrie in France

Guillen as international business de-
velopment and communication manager.
The company is involved in the design
and manufacturing of tube and pipe
processing equipment and specialises
in the production of pipe bevelling, pipe
cutting and pipe machines, including for
the oil and gas, nuclear, petrochemical,
fluid transportation, aerospace and
military sectors.
The company, which has been
manufacturing since 1986, has staff
located in 15 countries and subsidiaries
in the UK, USA and Poland.
Chairman and CEO Franck Vicente
has entrusted new strategy and interna-
tional development to Dr Guillen in order
to expand the company worldwide,
throughout its subsidiaries and network
distributors, and to accompany am-
bitious growth according to the new
business plan. Dr Guillen will also be
responsible for the company’s corporate
communication and marketing, to
develop corporate image renewal, the
adequacy of the product/market and
to put in place operational industrial
marketing.
Mr Vicente commented, “With our
shareholders our desire is to make Cofim
Industrie a world-class company leader
in this field and a globally recognised
brand in the tube industry. That is why we
decided to recruit a high level framework
and executive from multinationals.”
Mr Vicente also plans to boost
business via partnerships, joint ventures,
consortium arrangements, external
growth and acquisition stakes, if the
opportunity arises.
Dr Guillen, who has a PhD in
International Law and Political Sciences,
has worked for more than 20 years as
international business developer and
international marketing and sales director
in industry and services. Prior to joining
Cofim he worked for Valeo (automotive
equipment), Total (oil and gas), Thales
(electronic weapon systems) and Veolia
(energy and environmental services). He
was recently in a transition management
job for Sofregaz as marketing and
sales director in charge of international
redeployment and image renewal.
Commenting on his appointment, Dr
Guillen said, “I’m excited about having
the opportunity to play an integral part in
the new development business strategy
of Cofim Industrie. I look forward to
expanding my knowledge in a small- and
medium-size dynamic company.”
