NEAL DOW HOUSE

Neal Dow is one of America’s best known leaders of

the 1800’s.  He was a successful businessman, Mayor

of Portland twice, statesman, abolitionist-participated

in the underground railroad, Legislator and lobbyist,

Brigadier General, Prisoner of war, U.S. Presidential 

Candidate and Father of Prohibition. Tour his home
