Maine Indoor Karting is a 42,000 sqft entertainment

facility that offers customers the chance to experience

what it feels like to be behind the wheel of a race car.

More specifically, a gas powered go-kart that can

approach 40mph on a multi-turn road course inside a

building! The younger set can drive our fleet of 5mph

Power Wheels. Everyone can enjoy a round of mini-

golf and play a few arcade games. The MIK Café cooks

up delicious pizza and snacks and you can relax with

friends over a beer to recount your racing adventure.

SCARBOROUGH MARSH

AUDUBON CENTER

Scarborough, ME

The Scarborough Marsh is a great place to explore

the state’s largest salt marsh by foot or canoe. The

center provides a variety of guided and self-guided

walks, and canoe tours, as well as exhibits, a nature

trail, canoe rentals and a Maine Audubon Nature

Store. All guided programs are led by trained natural-

ists. Owned and managed by the Maine Department

of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, the 3,100 acre estu-

ary known as Scarborough Marsh is the largest salt

marsh in the state, comprising tidal marsh, salt creeks,

freshwater marsh and uplands. The marsh is particu-

larly important for wildlife as a resting, breeding and

feeding ground.

COASTAL MAINE

BOTANICAL GARDENS

Boothbay, ME

May 1 through October 31

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens comprises 295 acres

of tidal shoreland and in 2014 welcomed more than

100,000 guests throughout the year. The garden tour

is the ultimate group getaway. Groups of 10 or more

receive a reduced admission rate of $12 per adult

or senior and $5 per child (ages 3-17), with compli-

mentary admission for one bus driver and one group

leader. To enhance a group visit, a guided tour can be

scheduled with a docent. We need a minimum of two

weeks’ notice to schedule a docent-led tour.
