Middle school students in the "Memory Makers" club have been working with nursing home residents to
create mats for the homeless people in our community. Students spent time folding and cutting plastic
bags in order to make the loops for the senior citizens at the home to crochet. The picture shows a
finished product that will be given to a person who is homeless to keep them warm and hopefully dry.

citizens within the community.
