DAY 1

Arriving in the spa town of

Buxton

in

the heart of the Peak District, we make

our way to the conveniently located

Palace Hotel, close to the railway

station. Explore this spa town or enjoy

the hotels leisure facilities* ahead of

dinner. (D)

DAY 2

A short coach journey takes us to the

charming market town of

Bakewell,

perhaps best known for its famous

Bakewell pudding. Here we experience

how to make this world-famous treat

and enjoy a tea or coffee whilst our

pudding bakes, ready for us to take

home. We then have free time to

take a leisurely stroll along the river or

visit the many shops selling Christmas

gifts. In the afternoon we continue

to

Poole’s Cavern

where we take

a journey beneath the earth with an

expert guide, exploring a two million

year old limestone cave lined with

stalactites and stalagmites! (B,D)
