Founded in 1980, the European SocieTy for

Radiotherapy and Oncology, ESTRO, is a non-profit

and scientific organisation that advances all aspects of

radiation oncology in order to improve patients’ care in

the multimodality treatment of cancer.

With over 6,500 members in and outside Europe,

ESTRO supports all the radiation oncology

professionals in their daily practice: radiation

oncologists, medical physicists, radiobiologists,

RTT (radiation therapists) and the wider oncology

community. In order to achieve this, the Society

promotes education, science dissemination and access

to radiotherapy through its courses and workshops,

conferences, publications and public affairs activities.
