chaelsofOregonwasfoundedinOregonin1947. In2005BushnelpurchasedMichaelsandshifted
mostoftheproductionofshore. BobtraveledtoChinaandworkedforBushnelthroughoutmostof
thistransitionperiod. Whenhisemployment wascompletedhepurchasedthemajorityoftheOregon
divisionsmanufacturingequipmentandGrovtecwasborn, in2006.
HebeganworkingforMichaelsintherecoil pad/scopecoverdepartmentandthenmovedontothe
MachineShop.HeheldtherolesofBlackOxideFinisher, MachineOperator, Machinesetupperson,
DavenportLead, MachineShopForeman, ManufacturingSupervisor, ISOCoordinatorandManufac-
turingManager.DuringthistimeBobcompletedstudiesinManufacturingTechnology,CNCOpera-
tions, AutoCad, Mechanical EngineringandinBusinesManagement. Bobwasakeymember ofthe
designteamandwasinvolvedinmultiplepatentedproducts.
GrovTeccontinuestobeaninnovatorwithregardstoshootingacesories. Theyhavemultiplepat-
entsontheirswivelsandhardware. With27yearsofexperienceintheShootingIndustryBobcontin-
uestobuildonthesuceshehadatMichaelsofOregon. HisguidingprincipleistokeptheMade
InAmericafocus.
