endowedmorethan$100,000infundsandequipmenttoeightgrantrecipientsinthefirstquarterof
2017. ThisquarterisfurtherhighlightedbyYamaha’scontinuedsupportoftheNational FutureFarmers
ofAmerica(FA)Foundation, andYamaha’sAgricultural CommunicatorsofTomorow(ACT)grantpro-
gram.
Startingthisyear, Yamaha’stenuredACTgrantprogramwilbeundertheOutdoorAcesInitiative(OAI)
umbrelaaspartoftheprogram’sexpandedmisiontosupportthosewhoworkandplayoutdoors.
ThroughtheYamahaOutdoorAcesInitiative’sACTgrantprogram,OklahomaStateUniversity,Utah
StateUniversity, TheUniversityofFloridaandtheUniversityofIlinoiswereawardedacombined$8,500
ingrants. Recipientsofthisyear’sYamahaACTgrantsreceivefinancial asistancetoatendthe2017Ag
MediaSummitinSnowbird, Utah, fromJuly22to26, andtopromoteandencouragesafeandresponsi-
bleuseofATVandSide-by-Side(SxS) vehicleswithintheagriculturecommunity.
“WhilemuchoftheOutdoorAcesInitiative’sfocusgoestowardcreatingandimprovingconservation
andrecreational opportunities, theprogramadditionalyafordssupporttothoseintheagricultural in-
dustry–andhasforsometimenow,”saidSteveNesl, Yamaha’sATV/SxSgroupmarketingmanager.
“WehavebenhonoredtosupportthefutureofagriculturethroughtheNationalFAFoundationfor
manyyears, andbringingYamaha’snearlydecade-oldACTgrant programundertheOutdoorAcesIni-
tiativeisaperfectfit.”
